with arms high and heart abandoned
in awe of the one who gave it all.

blessings to you!

Just wanted to take a moment to wish you a very happy holiday!
My parents are here and my inlaws arrive tomorrow :)
My most favorite part of the season is family time...
but i so enjoy sitting at night...when all is quiet and think about
my Jesus! How every year He becomes more and more to me.
How He comforts me, and loves me, and most of all forgives me.
Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's
sake hath forgiven you. Eph. 4:32

our gift

i love reading the plaque on the bench at the park.
"God's gift to us is life...how we live our life is
our gift to Him." So beauiful!

Just says it all.

our hope...

is built on nothing less than Jesus'
blood and righteousness.

really enjoying the word "hope"
in the Noah Websters 1828 it is defined as
to cherish a desire of good, with expectation
of obtaining it; As hope founded on God's
gracious promises.

i love this scripture from
Hebrews 6:17-20
When God wanted to guarantee his promises,
he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee.
God can't break his word.
And because his word cannot change,
the promise is likewise unchangeable.
We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to
grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.
It's an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances
right to the very presence of God where Jesus,
running on ahead of us,
has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us,
in the order of Melchizedek.
*****
May the God of hope
fill you with all joy and peace
as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow
with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

i feel as if God has given me an *extra* year this day!
i feel blessed, very blessed.
since December 17, 1995 i have
become a mom two more times
became an Aunty
met many new friends...

but most of all
i have come to know my Saviour,
The Light of the World...
Our Lord Christ Jesus
who is my all in all.

I praise God for this wonderful life!
journaling from above layout...
Seeing this picture of Dr. Sutherland immediately takes me back to December, 2005. A time of excruciating headaches. There can be miracles. The surgery was a success then the trials of learning the little details began - like holding my seven month old baby girl. I was crushed *why was this happening to me? It is now a little over 10 years since my brain tumor was removed. I love to hear my Dad quote this conversation..."what are you going to do to her?" He asked in desparation. A very calm doctor replied, "I'm going to save her life!" It is such a miracle for me to hear...because four years later Jesus saved my soul! There were no guarantees that lonely December ~ but i know that someone prayed to God for the first time...someone stayed close by my side...someone believed they were going to save my life. There can be miracles...if you believe. *God answered my question...
"So I can show you how beautiful life can be."

...His love

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that
He gave up His only begotten Son,
so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on)
Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
****
"I've never quit loving you and never will
Expect love, love, and more love!"
****
God's love is incredibly amazing :D
I'm going to have a "sleepover" with my girls
at Nan's house today and then I get to look
after "my" Jaxson  for the weekend!
May you see God's amazing love and have a safe and
happy weekend...God Bless!

a little child....

Yesterday i was starting to feel my anxiety rising....
our visitors are coming next week and for some reason
i thought we should start cleaning!
My youngest, Emma (7), was told to tidy
her clothing drawers. i went to inspect when she
said she was "done" and clearly it was the job of seven year old.
Instead of recognizing this...i got angry with her.
i fixed it for her, then went on my way.
i never apologized.
That night i was reading and God brought it
to my attention. i cried out to him...it was 10:30 at night
and i so wanted to say sorry! i quietly snuck into
her room and Praise God she was awake!
i got to hold her and say sorry.

Then i was thinking of awesome of a Father God is.
He never gets mad at us.
He extends His grace over and over.

love this scripture from Isaiah:
He will not judge what He sees with His eyes,
or decides by what He hears with His ears;
but with righeousness He will judge to needy,
with justice He will give decisions for the poor of the earth.

May God bless you today...may you see His Grace that Overflows.

be joyous!

This past weekend on Caroline's blog
she asked "what fills us with joy!"
i responded...
"when i wake up in the morning and hear the pitter patter
of my children's footsteps that is joy...
and knowing that all of have comes from the Creator...such joy!"
Just after i typed that....i heard CRASH!
i just had a feeling that it was one of my favorite
snow flake mugs! Sure enough it was...immediatley my mind
goes back "joy....pitter patter...Creator".
Right away Andrew says
how sorry he was...such my sweet boy!
i felt like God was testing me....could i still be joyous?
Only with God's help, i was :D
**************
i love the verse on my scripture art....
you think how could Jesus be joyous on the cross?
because He was dying for the
sins of the world....AMEN!

God be with you this week...may He fill you with joy!

good cheer

But straightway Jesus spake
unto them, saying,
Be of good cheer it is I;
be not afraid.

...shine!

I am under vows to you, O God;
I will present my thank offering to you.
For you have delivered me from death
and my feet from stumbling.
That I may walk before God
in the light of life.
Psalm 56:12 and13

...treasures of snow

these layout are in the
Winter issue of
when i first saw the
magazine at our little
post office.
i had to peek :)

when i saw that "delight" is on a page all by itself...
and it almost takes up the entire page...
i had a little tear of delight...
because the last line of the layout says
"(delight) in the Lord and He shall
give you the desires of your heart."

Praise God!

"hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?"
Job 38:22

...so fun!

This weekend was just so fun!
Looked after Jaxson all weekend...
i love taking him to church!
The children loved taking him
sledding while i was doing
make n' takes at Memories and More .
There is a picture of him sitting
in the snow, it looks like he is in a
snow bumbo! too cute :)
We took him to a sing at the nursing home
and the people just loved him!
He was kissed many, many times...
one man started crying!
We will for sure take him again :)

i used a couple of CK fonts that i designed
on the above two layouts....that was really cool!
and

Received my Maya Road rak!
I can't make a real pie...so
i made a bead pie :)
doesn't the rick rack really look like pie crust!

So excited to start this week...
i've got to make a baking list!
i love my winter baking!

Have a very blessed week ahead, take care!

merry and bright

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.
For those who lived in a land of deep shadows - light!
Sunbursts of light! You repopulated the nation, You expanded it's joy.
Oh they're so glad in your presence!
Festival joy! The joy of great celebration,
sharing rich gifts and warm greetings!
****
i love this scripture from Isaiah...it just fits the layout perfectly.
i believe for every scrapbook page there is
scripture to match...God is wonderful :)
may God bless you with a warm weekend filled with TONS of love!
