Week One Completed!
Well I made it through week one! And I LOST 4.5 lbs!!!!!! I'm more than happy with that :)
I incorporated a lot more water into my days. It helped so much, I couldn't believe it.
My favorite water "recipe" is lemon and cucumber water. When my running group was in Wenatchee we went to this restaurant called McGlinn's and they served us lemon cucumber water and it was so delicious, fresh and inspiring! The jug looks beautiful and inviting sitting on my kitchen counter.
In Wenatchee I ran the 10K and didn't do well...had to use my inhaler like it was crack! My time ended up being 1 hour 8 minutes and 48 seconds. Next year I will get it under 1 hour!!!!

Much to Lose
It has been a very long time but now is the time.
I want to keep a record of a journey that I've started today.
My journey consists of two specific goals. The first is a biggie...
to lose the 59 lbs. that I've gained
and...
to run 10K in under 1HR.
I know I can do this. I have family that will stick by me, an amazing support system, I made a fun inspirational binder, and I have this verse to cling to...
The most crazy thing to me at this moment is my own fear. Even with all the support and drive I know I have, I just feel scared. Scared that I will give up. Quit the moment one thing doesn't go right. It's almost like I don't want this journey. But I know I have to take it. I feel a soft calling and I know the first step is mine. The first barrier I will need to break down is fighting myself. The first week is going to be hard but I'm going to push through. My prayer is that I can keep a good attitude, keep my chin up, and focus, focus, focus!

Little Gifts
Just wanted to share some fun gifts to make!
The first are altered clothespins. For the glittered ones you'll simply cover one side of the clothespin with glue and then sprinkle some Maya Road glitter on top.
These ones are so fun...cover one side with glue and sprinkle glass beads on top. Allow to dry and then spray with Maya Mist!

I like to add a strip of magnet to the back. Decorate a glassine bag and tuck your clothespins in!
The Maya Road Small Organza Roses Ribbon makes a perfect headband. Cut a piece of the trim the length you'd like and hand sew a small piece of elastic on both ends.

Most Blessed 545th Post Ever!!!!
I just noticed on my blog home page that this is my 545th post and I couldn't be more happier!!! Sixteen and a half years ago I was laying in a hospital bed not even caring if it was my last day on earth...I was so, SO sick.
Here is the link to the story
Now here I am posting a Christmas gift I just made for my Mom and Dad. I remember talking with my neurosurgeon after my brain surgery and I told him that I wasn't planning on having any more children after this "brain" ordeal I went through and he seemed disapointed! He is sure happy to know that God added two more to our family! I couldn't even imagine a day without Andrew and Emma.
God is SO good.
I even get to share a layout of me and my hubby...we've been married for 18 and a half years.
Enjoy today, I know I will :)

Christmas Album
Here is a Christmas Album I made using a Maya Road 8 X 8 binder book and lots of fun paper from Simple Stories!
I left spots in the album for adding pictures and envelopes to tuck in some journaling.
Thanks so much,
