To start go through your recycling and find a plastic lid ♥
Mark a circle in the centre and cut out.
I decided to make a large flower so I cut my fabric into a 6 X 6 square. I love the fun colours of the
Cosmo Cricket fabric made by
Andover Fabrics.
Place your fabric right side down on your work surface. Place your lid on top of your fabric.
Pull your fabric through the hole...about 1 1/2 inches.
Thread a needle and make a few stitches in your fabric that has been pulled though your lid.
Leave your needle threaded and sew on your button. Tie a knot at the back.
Cut off your desired amount of fabric in a circle to form your flower.
Now I decided I'd like to make a two layer flower. I cut a smaller hole in my plastic lid and repeated my steps.
I then formed a larger flower...
and sewed the smaller flower in the centre.
I then added a button centre and used it for a fun embellishment on a page about my daughter and her favorite doll!
Have a very happy and safe weekend!
Lots of love,
